In the currency pair the first currency is the base currency and the second currency is quote currency.

The currency pairs normally have 4-5 decimal points called pips.

For example
Suppose EUR USD is 1.12314
The 5th decimal place here which is 4
is called pippet.
The 4th decimal place here which is 1
is called pip.

Normally calculation is done in pips.
1 pip = 10 pippets

If price is 1.12314
and moves up by 1 pip
then price now is 1.12324
